Despite being well known in the online and offline world, Baccarat seems to have the rep as a game only for the high roller.
Maybe it’s the frenchie name or the fact that James Bond made the game look so classy people think they need a double-0 bankroll to play it. But what you need to know is Baccarat is one of the easiest games to learn, the easiest to play, and the easiest on your wallet.
To help you get acquainted we’re giving you the complete 411 on Baccarat.
The 411 on Baccarat
The game itself is simple:
- Two cards are dealt to two hands, named Player and Banker.
- You can bet on the Player, Banker, Tie or any combination of the three.
The object of the game is to correctly pick which hand will have the higher score, with the highest score in Baccarat being 9 and the lowest being 0. 10 through King have no value while Aces only count as one.
What is a little more complicated is when the dealer is supposed to draw a third card for the Player or Banker.
One tip new players need to know is the win percentages for the game. The Banker actually wins the most with about a 46 percent win percentage, while the Player wins 45 percent of the time and the Tie wins about 9 percent of the time. That’s why Ties pay 9-to-1.
Also, though some old-school players like to chart the frequency of Player wins, Banker wins, and Tie wins, you shouldn’t bother. There’s no pattern to when you’ll win in any section, so just enjoy yourself and use your instincts.
Baccarat is for Everyone
Baccarat isn’t just for those with monocles, fur coats and a license to kill, Baccarat is a game that can be easily enjoyed by all.
